BPMN has gained prominence as the language for modeling business processes with precise semantics to meet a diverse set of needs. BPMN is a suggested way to create some of the BABOK modeling techniques and is required in the Architecture Process Guide of the DoD Business Enterprise Architecture. This course provides information and exercises that will allow the student to be productive with the most widely used BPMN elements as part of a broader business modeling effort. In addition to language syntax and semantics, students will follow a business process modeling methodology to develop several examples. Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect is a full lifecycle modeling and design tool. In addition to business and solution architecture modeling, Enterprise Architect is a proven standards compliant BPMN modeling tool having been part of multiple integration capability demonstrations. This class uses Enterprise Architect version 15.1. Other versions can be used upon request.
