Thomas Sternkopf

Thomas Sternkopf is a truly convinced Agilist who is initiating, moderating and leading agile change with high levels of empathy and professional competence. He builds on more than 15 years of experience in the IT- and insurance industry, functioning as project and team leader in classic Waterfall as well as agile projects. Thomas Sternkopf hence brings years of experience in combining both worlds and working with Scrum, SAFe, DevOps, conducting Lean Management, as well as project management, coaching change and transformation processes, taking care of stakeholders, moderating and coaching interim and program management, portfolio management and C-level consulting. Furthermore, he is a highly qualified coach and trainer with a diversity of international projects. He has conducted workshops and training globally for years. Thomas holds several technical certificates and completed a technical education at the start of his professional career. He has both excellent theoretical knowledge and expert, practical knowledge.

He is a certified SPC 5 (SAFe® Professional Consultant), SAFe® 4 Agilist, Certified SAFe SCM 4.6, Certified SAFe® 4 DevOps Practionier and has successfully completed the SAFe® for Teams 4.5 certificate. Thomas is gifted in organizing agile transformationninitiatives and leading organizational change. One of his biggest and most successful projects was to restructure an insurance giant (AGCS/Munich), functioning as a Lean Portfolio Manger using SAFe® methods, among others.

He hold additional certificates in the technical and project management field, e.g. the ITIL Foundation Examination and PMI Training I-III.

Moreover, Mr. Sternkopf is an internationally experienced servant leader who builds on 15 years of actively implementing and restructuring complex, global IT- and business projects. The cultural insights he has gained and diversity of teams he has led further defines the kind of trainer he is. He not only shares his vast knowledge with people when he conducts training, but also helps trainees to consciously understand the meaning and value of complex concepts via “try, fail and learn”.
