Exciting Announcements!

We have some exciting items in the pipeline at EA Principals that will be available in the near future (May/June). These include, first of all, an Advanced Applied EA online course that lasts 12 weeks. It includes recorded and live lectures, discussion boards, gamification, and 2 applied assignments: one on evaluating/promoting/designing an EA Program and another, longer one on the actual application of EA on a substantive, real-world initiative. We would also provide a basic primer on ArchiMate and BPMN modeling, and cover the full study guide for preparing for The Open Group’s DPBoK (Digital Practitioner Body of Knowledge) certification. In addition, all students completing the course successfully would receive an EA Principals’ Advanced Applied EA Certification.

EA Principals has also updated its elearning offerings for the TOGAF Standard, Version 9.2 and the ArchiMate Standard, Version 3.1. These will be available by mid May at the latest. In addition, EA Principals offers elearning in the DPBoK.

EA Principals has a unique capability to help organizations do sophisticated business scenario planning, something absolutely essential in these uncertain times for business planning and therefore a new channel for Enterprise Architecture to add tremendous value. To assist us we use the Parmenides EIDOS tool, specially designed for scenario planning, along with Mind Mapping and ArchiMate’s Motivation, Strategy, and Implementation & Migration Planning elements. In these scenario workshops, we leverage bodies of knowledge linked to Capability-Based Planning (including the use of Business Capability Maps, Performance Management (including the use of Performance Dashboards), Risk Management, and Value Realization in looking at Analyses of Alternatives across end-to-end Value Streams. This is a remarkable offering and all the above is done on real-world use cases in only 4 days, which can be split up into 8 half days over a two-week time span.

Finally, EA Principals is offering access to a Requirements Management tool, currently in beta, but free and handy to practice gathering and managing architecture requirements in a modern, flexible setup that includes semantic search. Contact EA Principals for more information on any of the above ([email protected]), as well as on its EA maturity assessments and architecture kickoff consulting.
